In my opinion the sacred companionship between an animal and a human is something special what should be honored and priced.
The bond and the quality of work can only be seen if one is sure and aware of the existence of it.
We have helped eachother in different ways over years.
So I thought I should give my business a name which can be remembered and which describes the pack, describes somehow the services I have to offer as they are for both, dog and handler and unites it in a best describable way.
Why Defenderas?
"Defender us." - "Defend RA's." - "Def end eras."
Ok, so maybe these quotes need some more explanation...
"Defender us"
*There was a time as I worked and had my duty as a freelance defender in court.
That time hit me hard and I learned much from it and it left a mark on me and my history, so I wanted it also to be somehow a part or a reminder of the journey in the future too.
At that same time I also worked as a practical nurse in different facilities and was not always so pleased on what I saw and experienced and found myself often in situations that I was defending the weaker ones. (Workers, patients, customers.)
It has of course also something to do with my interest on IPO, K9 and bitework training. Interest on high drive working dogs. And with the fact for what they actially are trained for when they get their real life working dutys. Not to forget the co-operation and the bond between a dog and its handler.

As some may know, Ra is a god(dess) of the sun.
A synonym for the sun. And one of suns names.
Happy personas are often called sunshines.
Sun brings joy. (And Vitamin D) :)
And a inner sun in a child or a puppy is something to protect and something to hold on to.
"Def end eras"
Eras = times
So actially : the end of deaf times.
As everyone knows who has parented, owned, trained, handled, lived etc. with a dog (same goes unfortunately with children, partners, friends :D ) that they sometimes forget their ears somewhere and really do not listen to anything you say.
So I thought it was a funny metaphora of reality and the fact that those times should be over and out.
And the rest what a single word or name can inhold, stays secret... ;)
